We’re pleased to announce that former Stars & Stripes correspondent David Choi has joined Korea Risk Group as deputy managing editor. David will be working alongside managing editor Bryan Betts at our newsroom in Seoul, helping to lead editorial operations across all our information services: NK News, NK Pro and Korea Pro.

David brings over nine years of journalism experience to the team, most recently spending more than four years as a correspondent for Stars & Stripes in South Korea, where he covered U.S.-South Korean military and diplomatic relations. Prior to that, he spent four years as a senior news reporter at Business Insider in Los Angeles. David also served as a Media Engagement Public Affairs Specialist with U.S. Central Command and trained at the U.S. Defense Information School, bringing valuable expertise on military and defense affairs to our coverage.
